What’s A Liquidity Pool?

A liquidity pool is a crowdsourced pool of cryptocurrencies or tokens locked in a smart contract that is used to facilitate trades between the assets on a decentralized exchange (DEX). Instead of traditional markets of buyers and sellers, many decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms use automated market makers (AMMs), which allow digital assets to be traded in an automatic and permissionless manner through the use of liquidity pools.

So How Do You Do It?

First You Will Need To Own SAGE. Which Can Be Done Through Purchasing One Of The Sage The Metaverse NFTs, and then redeeming your SAGE via the “claim sage” tab of this page. Alternatively you can select the tab “buy sage” on this website, which will take you to Uniswap where you can exchange your crypto of choice for SAGE.

Ok, Now That You’ve Got Your Sage Now You Are Ready To Invest!
Here Are The Steps!

Enter The Wallet Browser — First you want to open the browser in your choice of wallet. (We chose MetaMask).

Enter Uniswap Url — Here you will enter the web address for Uniswap. (https://app.uniswap.org/#/pool?chain=mainnet)

Select V2 Liquidity — You should be on the pool tab if you used the link from the previous step. You then want to select more and choose V2 liquidity.

Add Liquidity — Press add V2 liquidity again.

Import Token — Here you will select the token you want to pair with your SAGE (We recommend ETH as it has the most users). Now to import the SAGE Coin click select token.

Import token 2 — Here you will want to click manage token list at the very bottom of the list.

Import token 3 — Now you will have to select the token tab on the right. Next you will paste the token address (0x8226b146C3f50594E7493f726F1bbAA446F15fD8). You should then see SAGE, just press import.

Import token 4 — This part just confirms that you have the correct token, as we are still being verified by the networks.

Enter token amounts — You will see zeros here and will have to click them to enter how much SAGE and Ethereum you will add to the pool. (Each SAGE will automatically be paired to 0.0014 ETH).

Confirm supply — This shows your share of the pool and current pricing. Press supply to confirm the amounts you are pooling.

Confirm supply 2 — Again you will confirm the supply to be sure.

Confirm transaction — Here you will be shown the total cost plus the gas (transaction) fee. You may need to adjust your amounts if the total exceeds your available balance. Now just confirm the transaction.

Success — YOU DID IT! Here we just recommend that you do add the UNI-V2 to your wallet, which represents your share in the pool’s liquidity.
